INSTALL
                                -------

  Follow the directions below to properly install this service:

   1. Set the Maxima binary location in
        $INSTALL_DIR/var/service/maxima/etc/service.properties
        
   2. Go to the   $INSTALL_DIR and build the service by using ant.
      The buildfile is provided.    

   3. Startup the service by going to $INSTALL_DIR/build/bin and starting
      the server (sh server.sh on Unix or server.bat on MS Windows).

   4. Connect to localhost:1239 and type a Maxima command.
